Tailored

Caldaro meets a growing demand for unique solutions, and develop products from idea to series production in close collaboration with the customer. The customer usually knows which requirements the product must meet and has an idea of how it should look. In collaboration with Caldaro, the customer develops a specification which subsequently forms the basis for product development.

There are many advantages of developing a unique product with Caldaro:

• the customer has ample opportunity to influence the end result

• the product is tailored to the application’s specifications

• option of exclusivity

• cost-effective solution

• Caldaro offers development projects at cost price

• access to Caldaro’s long experience and broad knowhow regarding the human-machine interface

When it comes to handles, joysticks and foot pedals a big focus is put on ergonomics and smart design. Caldaro helps to find technical solutions that enable the operator to get through long working days without risk of repetitive strain injuries. The product is designed to protect integrated, vital components, and a basic final assembly is planned to minimize the total costs.

The product is developed according to a project model with clearly defined toll gates. During the project, several prototype series are developed for evaluation. Caldaro works with the prototype definitions A, B and C. A prototypes are produced at an early stage to evaluate the form and technical design. They are often made by hand or using SLS. B prototypes are produced to verify the electrical and mechanical functions, while C prototypes can be used for pre-series or as samples for final approval.

With more than 20 years experience of all conceivable applications above and below ground, which are subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations, marine environments and aggressive oils and chemicals, Caldaro knows the most suitable materials and solutions for different environments.
