Grips or handles are of course a vital part of any joystick assembly and to Caldaro these have always been regarded as core business. While some of our grips are designed for particular joystick base models, some can also be supplied as separate products, suited for hydraulic PPC valves or for machine specific joysticks.
User ergonomics is perhaps the most important aspect when selecting shape, type and size of the grip. Caldaro’s handles are in general designed in such way to allow the driver to vary his/her grip on the lever, thus minimizing the risk of repeated strain injury. Whilst it may be tempting to integrate as many functions as possible into the grip, this may not always be the best solution when considering user friendliness, productivity and operator strain. Sometimes it may be better to work with a few, basic finger-tip levers rather than a large joystick with Multifunction grip. Or why not a couple of joysticks with palm size grip with one or two pushbuttons?
