Summary of Bauma 2010!
We want to send a special thanks to all of you who managed to come to our booth at Bauma despite the volcano ashes causing big problems for the flights. We had many fruitful meetings and are right now working on the follow up and hope to see you soon again. For those of you who couldn't come you can have a look at these
pictures showing our booth and applications.

Pressure sensors in a small package
We are proud to present our latest addition to our family of pressure sensors. S605A is a compact yet robust analogue pressure transmitter based on thin film technology to enable the best possible performance. It has a 19-mm diameter sensor body with only 23 mm height excluding connections. S605A is made of stainless steel so that it can cope with aggressive liquids such as oils, benzene, dirty water, etc. The sensor is made for 5VDC regulated supply and comes with ratiometric 10-90% output as standard for a pressure range of 0- 350 bars. The sensor is available in designs that are able to cope with temperatures of up to 140°C or density according to IP69. Pressure connection is with either M10 or G1⁄4” thread. S605A is delivered with an AMP MQS connector as standard. Just as with Caldaro's other sensors, S605A offers great opportunities for customer adaptation in terms of connector’s threads, output signal characteristics, etc.

Compact joystick for simple and versitile control
C03A is a three-axis joystick with a Hall effect sensor built into all its axes. Unlike other three-axis joysticks, the C03A joystick is remarkably small. Its innovative design means that the joystick only needs 3.2 cm under the panel, and it is only 2.8 cm tall. Its feel and final finish are very good which helps achieve a comprehensive solution.
C03A is made of high-quality material to cope with the tough demands placed on strength and durability when exposed to oils and chemicals. The joystick has also been developed to cope with density class IP54 and EMC levels up to 50 V/m. C03A has a displacement angle of ±15° and a long length of life since the non-contacting sensors are used for all three axes.
C03A was primarily produced for medical equipment and camera control where demands on precision and flexibility are significant. However, it is also suitable for a number of other industrial applications.
Like Caldaro's other products, this joystick offers great opportunities for customer adaptation in terms of handles, cables, output signal characteristics, etc.

Robust non-contacting 360° angle sensor
Caldaro AB is introducing a new non-contacting 360° angle sensor called SO6. Compared to its predecessors, this angle sensor presents new areas of utilisation.
S06 is a very compact and robust sensor, and its sensor technology is based on the Hall effect (non-contacting). Its mounting dimensions are very compact. There are presently two alternatives for mounting - bush threads or in combination with mounting vanes. The standard design entails protection class IP65, but it is also available with protection class IP 67.
Its length of life is an impressive 50 million operations.
Like all of Caldaro's sensors, it is also available in different designs for shaft, length, diameter, thread, mounting, etc. in order to facilitate adaptation to the mating part of the application.
From an electrical point of view, the sensor has unforeseen possibilities as several alternative output signals can be generated such as analogue (0–5 V, 0.5–4.5 V, etc.), PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) in various frequencies as well as serial interface (digital pulse signal).
The analogue output signal is available with double signals (crossed or parallel). It is also available with individual supply and earth for each signal.
The signal can be programmed to detect 360˚ or parts of one rotation.
S06 is made of high-quality material to cope with the tough demands placed on strength and durability when exposed to oils and chemicals. The S06 was developed to cope with EMC levels up to 100 V/m and ESD levels of at least ± 8 kV (contact) and ± 15 kV (airborne).
S06 has many areas of utilisation and a broad market; it can in part replace traditional potentiometer applications and in part pulse sensors and other technology.
Some examples of its applications include mobile crane rotation detection, mounting in crop aggregates to measure length and diameter, mounting in electrical accelerators, menus in operator panels, etc.
